The Busy Bees Quilting Group meets at the Wareham Free Library. This community event is open to general interest.
Halloween
Endicott Grille invites guests to a costume‑filled Halloween celebration, with a full menu served until the early morning hours. The venue transforms with spooky décor, and patrons can enjoy themed drinks while dancing to a DJ‑curated playlist. Families and party‑goers alike can revel in the festive atmosphere throughout the night.
Chess Club- Nagle Room
Play a game of chess at the library! Chess players at all levels are invited to stop by on Saturday afternoons. Bring your own chess board and pieces, or we have some available at the desk. Temporarily held in the Nagle room for the duration of construction.
Halloween Throw & Glow- All Weekend Long
Calling all ghosts, ghouls and hatchet throwers! 🎃🪓 Join us October 30–November 1 for a frightfully fun Throw & Glow Costume Party Weekend. Take aim at glowing zombie targets and enter our social-media-voted costume contests! Adults can win $50 cash, while kids ages 10–17 can compete Sunday for a Halloween prize basket ($30 value). LumberJack Jr. sessions run all day Sunday. Standard throwing fees apply—costumes encouraged and reservations recommended!
Live Music Night
Saturday’s final live‑music slot of the month offers an open‑floor performance at Cisco Brewers, inviting local talent to showcase their sound in the venue’s welcoming indoor space. The evening provides a platform for emerging artists to connect with the New Bedford community while guests enjoy the bar’s craft beer selection. Expect a relaxed, eclectic atmosphere that highlights the venue’s dedication to supporting regional music.

Celebrate National Authors Day with Write With Community at the New Bedford Whaling Museum! Sunday, November 1, 2026 | 11:00 AM–2:00 PM Join us for a special two-part gathering featuring local authors Gail Braccidiferro MacDonald, Elizabeth Sylvia, and Melinda Green, Marjory O’Toole & Linda Coombs. Part One offers an opportunity to hear from local authors about their writing practices and connect through conversation. Part Two invites participants to explore writing through place, play, and creative discovery in a New Bedford Place-Based Experiential Workshop. Open to the public; all skill levels are welcome.
